Welcome!

It is my goal as a music teacher that my students not only learn how to read music or play notes, but how to be musicians. I accomplish this by not only teaching them the fundamentals of piano or voice (reading music, good posture, proper technique, etc.), but also by instilling in them characteristics that translate to all areas of their life.

My students gain confidence in their musical abilities as they are provided with the foundations needed to perform professionally in the future or simply to enjoy music for a lifetime. I maintain a supportive atmosphere and a safe place where students become disciplined and independent in their studies. In addition, students will be exposed to different musical styles, music history, and current musical technology.

I provide a comprehensive music education in which time is spent on technique, exercises, sight-reading,  polishing repertoire, theory/ear training, improvisation/composition activities, ensemble work, and performance practice. Although an emphasis is placed on classical repertoire, I am very flexible, and the curriculum is always tailored to the student’s interests and goals.

My studio strives to foster in its students a love for music, and the desire to share that love with the world.
